What is the Lakeview Boosters Fundraiser?

Lakeview Boosters is a fundraiser for the Lakeview PTO. 

All money raised by the PTO is used to pay for educational activities such as Arts Attack & Music Mike, teachers’ supplies, assemblies, school equipment, technology (Promethean Boards, PCs, computer lab), after-school enrichment and much more!  These activities and supplies greatly enhance the quality of our children’s education.

How does Boosters raise money?

Funds are raised solely through donations.  There will be NO PRODUCT SALES!!! All of the donations go directly to the PTO and our children’s education. There are no middleman companies to take a portion of our profits (40% and up!).

Is Boosters the only fundraiser for Lakeview?

No.  Boosters will take the place of any product sales, (i.e. cookie dough, magazines, etc…) Boosters is one of the biggest fundraisers for the school along with the Fall & Spring events.

Why should I donate to Boosters?

The Boosters Fundraiser takes the place of product sale at Lakeview. We are the first school in the Rescue Union School District to forego product sales!  If you think of all the time and money you have spent on product sales with only a portion going to the school, wouldn’t you rather make a single contribution that goes directly to your child’s school instead? 

Will the Boosters fundraising drive take place every year?

Yes. Since there will be no product sales it will be necessary to replenish the PTO budget yearly to enable the PTO’s ongoing offers of activities, equipment and supplies every year.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes!  As a 501c3 non-profit organization, your donation to the PTO may be tax deductible and many employers match charitable donations, so your money can go even further!

 When can I join?

You can join the Boosters at anytime; however, we encourage all families to join the booster program by Friday, September 16th, 2011 to be included in the class competition. This will allow the PTO to plan for activities and supplies for the current year.
