Treats for Troops:: Bring your "extra" Halloween candy to donate to the troops!  We will be collecting in the ampitheater before school on Tues-Fri, Nov 1-4.  Kids are also welcome to write notes to send to the soldiers.  What a great way to let them know how much we appreciate them and share our bounty!  Shout out to Mrs. Ryan and the Impact Club for their help!    

 

PTO General Meeting - Weds, Nov 2, 7:00pm:: Be part of helping us set our priorities for PTO sponsored events and activities.  With 2 of our 3 fundraisers complete, we will be evaluating how to spend our funds.

Book Fair, Nov 2-10:: "To the Book Fair and Beyond" is this year's theme.  It is shaping up to be an out of this world experience!  Classes will be visiting this week to fill out their wish lists. General shopping begins Friday and goes through next Thursday. The Book Fair will be open before, during and after school. If you are interested in volunteering for a shift to help, please contact Evelyn Butler evelynmb@yahoo.com  or Kim Mattoch mkmhmattoch@sbcglobal.net .

Family Movie Night / Book Fair Shopping Night::    Fri, Nov 4 ; 5:30-9pm::  Join the fun for an outdoor movie night in the ampitheater and extra book fair shopping time. We will be showing Star Wars Episode I - Phantom Menace !  Kids are welcome to wear their Star War's gear if they'd like!  Hot dogs, drinks, hot chocolate & popcorn will be available - thanks to RuffHaus Hot Dog Co and Big Spoon for their participation!

Raley's; Safeway; Nugget; Target :: What do they have to do with Lakeview? $$$$$$$ Each of these retailers have programs that make contributions to Lakeview everytime you shop! Ref4Kids - Rescue Education Foundation - Board Members Needed:: - an education foundation is being formed to serve our school district. They are looking for Board Members - if you have served on a non-profit or educational foundation board before, or know someone that might be interested, please contact admin@ref4kids.org . The basic premise is to build an infrastructure of funding sources that can support district level programs. Successful Foundations add to the strength of school district's and take some of the financial burden off of local school sites for important programs, such as GATE, libraries, bussing, music, art and PE. This in turn, allows site level PTO/PTC/PTA groups to focus on additional specific school needs.
